SSS / RENT
Full-period rental planning

Your whole stay. One clear number.

Put two rental offers on the same basis. Include every planned day, the fees you know and the refundable amount held separately.

THE QUOTE WORKBENCH

Compare the complete period.

Enter two written offers for the same dates. Add known charges, including tax. Keep refundable amounts separate from the rental cost.

No default tax assumptions. No hidden discount formula. Your quoted totals, compared directly.

Example inputs — replace with your written quotes.

Offer A · USD
Offer B · USD

Offer A costs less

Offer A / rental cost$795.00

$113.57 per day
Initial funds estimate: $1,295.00

Offer B / rental cost$810.00

$115.71 per day
Initial funds estimate: $1,310.00

Rental cost difference: $15.00. Refundable amounts are excluded from rental cost. The funds estimate assumes the full rental total plus the hold is needed initially; ask the provider about payment timing.

A little Miami, before the numbers.
THE PRACTICAL PART

A daily rate is only the beginning.

Compare the trip you are actually taking, with the same dates and conditions in both offers.

01 / DURATION

Count the return time, not just the nights.

A hotel stay measured in nights and a vehicle rental measured in billing periods are not automatically the same. Put the pickup and return times in both quote requests. Ask how late return, grace periods and extensions are handled. For a weekly or monthly offer, enter its quoted base total directly rather than assuming a day-rate multiplication. The calculator uses the amounts you enter; it does not invent a provider’s discount schedule.

02 / CASH FLOW

A refundable hold is not a rental charge.

Keep the refundable amount separate when comparing offers. Ask whether it is a card authorization or a collected payment, when the release is initiated and which conditions can affect the return. The calculator shows rental cost and an initial funds estimate separately. Actual payment timing can differ if part of the rental is paid later. Confirm the final invoice and deposit arrangement with the provider before reserving.

03 / COMPARISON

Make both offers cover the same trip.

A lower total is meaningful only when the quotes cover the same dates, mileage, driver eligibility, protection and delivery arrangements. Put known mandatory charges into each offer. Do not enter zero because a fee is unclear—ask for the figure first. Keep optional extras separate until you decide whether you need them. If one offer excludes something essential, add its confirmed cost before judging the difference.
