Describe what happened before naming a part

“A sound when turning left at low speed” gives a technician a repeatable observation. “It needs a new steering rack” can narrow the conversation before the fault has been examined. Note whether the behavior is intermittent, whether the vehicle is cold or warm and what changed recently. Never recreate a dangerous condition to gather evidence.
